By now you've completed the guided lessons and have seen how Advertisers, Campaigns, Zones, and Advertisements work together. Before handing control over to the Administrator Dashboard, WaypointAds asks you to review a few recommended settings that provide a safe and sensible starting point for most websites.
Don't think of these as permanent decisions. They're simply defaults chosen to help you get started quickly. Every one of these settings can be changed later through the WaypointAds Configuration screen.
Step 1 – A Few Sensible Defaults
The A Few Sensible Defaults page presents three options that influence how WaypointAds behaves while you're learning the system.
Safety Warnings
When enabled, WaypointAds displays confirmation messages before carrying out actions that could interrupt active advertising campaigns.
For most websites, leaving this option On is recommended.
Setup Guide
The Setup Guide displays helpful reminders throughout the Administrator Dashboard while you're becoming familiar with WaypointAds.
If you're new to the extension, we recommend leaving this option Visible. Once you're comfortable navigating the system, you can hide it with a single click.
Custom Advertisement Sizes
WaypointAds includes a large collection of standard advertising dimensions.
Enabling Custom Advertisement Sizes allows you to create additional dimensions whenever your advertising requirements extend beyond the standard presets.
Unless your organization uses only industry-standard sizes, we recommend leaving this option Allowed.
After reviewing these settings, click Continue Setup.
Step 2 – You're Ready to Launch
The final page of the Setup Assistant confirms that your WaypointAds installation is ready for use.
When you're ready, click Launch WaypointAds.

You've completed the WaypointAds Setup Assistant.
Your website is now ready to begin creating real advertising campaigns. In the next tutorial, we'll build the first and most important component of every advertising system—your first Advertising Zone.
